Fun Fact: Lev is an avid skier, enjoys listening to 80's rock music and is a passionate supporter of Chelsea Football Club.
Lev is the Co-Founder & former President. As President of IBPEVC, he pivoted the club toward events oriented at expanding professional networks, implemented the IB aspect to the then existing PEVC club and emphasized ESG / Sustainability in finance through conferences. During his time as President, Lev was a summer SPAC advisory intern at SPACGlobal, a fall private equity intern at TriplePeak Capital and winter/spring sustainability investment banking intern at ROTH Capital Partners.
According to Lev "Fordham IBPEVC Club was a community of like minded individuals who provided support through the entire masters program process and professional recruitment phase. Meeting sustainability focused finance professionals through conferences and networking events coupled with the experience of getting to the finals of the The Wharton School Total Impact Portfolio Challenge, cemented my interest in pursuing a ESG/sustainability focused role in finance."
His passion is centered around financing that supports social-focused developments such as those that expand access to affordable housing, basic infrastructure, healthcare, and education in underserved and unbanked communities. Additionally, he is motivated by work in the area of sustainability, specifically with technologies and business models that improve societies’ utilization of natural resources to support global economic growth, while minimizing environmental impacts.
His advice for fellow Fordham Gabelli students is "Set clear goals and be determined in achieving your aims."

Nicholas Hatzis

Fun Fact: Nick is an avid athlete particularly in hockey & golf, he also is considered quite the foodie.
As Vice-President & Head of Corporate Outreach of IBPEVC, he was lead on coordinating and organizing with industry professionals. He also co-hosted numerous events and discussions, allowing him to improve on his leadership and public speaking skills . During his time as Vice-President, Nicholas interned at SPACGlobal, Triple Peak Capital & UniCredit and held positions in SPAC advisory, Private Equity & Search Fund as well as a Capital Markets Advisory.

According to Nicholas "Fordham IBPEVC Club was a club turned into a family. We all wanted to build off our predecessors and take the club to the next level. The club enabled all of us to get out of our comfort zones and put ourselves out there. Working with such hard-working cohorts enabled the club to put on many successful conferences, events and networking sessions. Utilizing theory and application to build a professional network with different professionals, faculty and students is an aspect I will always cherish."

Aaron Martins

Fun Fact: Aaron loves to play many sports, including soccer, basketball, and golf. He also used to represent the Ugandan swimming team.
As Co-President of IBPEVC, he helped strategize opportunities to incorporate events geared towards banking, particularly focusing on networking events that added influential professionals to our networks. He also co-hosted numerous events and discussions, allowing him to hone in on his leadership and hosting skills . During his time as Co-President, Aaron was a winter/spring intern at Oberon Securities, LLC.
According to Aaron "Fordham IBPEVC Club was founded by a team of students that wanted to build on the previous foundation of the club. We shared a similar vision of taking the club to the next level, challenging ourselves to put on some of the largest and most successful events on campus. Our executive team was directly supported by a group of our peers with everyone dedicated to enhancing the club's visions and goals. Each networking or panel event helped me add perspective on different roles in banking and finance in general. The knowledge and advice from established professionals was just as important as what we were learning in class."
Aaron is looking forward to working in investment banking, adding meaningful experience in different verticals. He hopes to narrow his focus in the long-term towards purpose-driven investments particularly in agriculture and transportation infrastructure in limited integration markets.
His advice for fellow Fordham Gabelli students is "Step outside your comfort zone and take on positions that make you accountable and responsible. It is important to find a healthy balance between all aspects of business school but make sure you have a clearly defined short and long-term vision for yourself."

Maulik Mehta

Fun Fact: On weekends, you can spot Maulik at Smithfield Hall NYC, showcasing his support for Roger Federer and his boyhood soccer club – Manchester United.

Maulik Mehta is a Venture Associate at Arc Ventures. He joined the firm as a summer intern in 2019 and eventually moved into a full-time role after graduation. Maulik’s role at Arc involves sourcing new deals, conducting deep dives on prospective investments and assisting
portfolio companies with follow on funding.Before his work at Arc, Maulik was an Associate at Mumbai Angels Ventures, India’s most renowned angel investing network. He also gained operational experience at Azuro, a property management startup that later got acquired by India’s largest real estate brokerage company. Maulik holds a Masters in Finance from Fordham University, where he was the Former President of the Private Equity & Venture Capital Club and received the Graduate Student Leadership award.
